Mrs. Maggie Anis Cross, 91, Flippin, Kentucky, died at 5:26 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, at Memorial Hospital in Logansport. She was the mother of Lewie B. Cross of RR 4, Veedersburg, and Edison and Willie E. Cross, both of Mellott.
Born November 2, 1892 in Flippin, she was the daughter of Andrew Jackson and Margret Ellen Creek Lyod. On August 26, 1918 she married Virgil Cross in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, who died May 2, 1968. She was a member of Flipping Methodist Church.
Other survivors include two daughters, Vivian Miller of Fairmount, Illinois, and Edith Weaver of Walton; 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Services were conducted Saturday at Hughes Funeral Home in Fountain Run, Kentucky, with Brother Garnet Martin and Dillard Hagan officiating. Burial was in Neal Cemetery in Flippin. The family asked that any memorials be in the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society. -s-
